Position Summary

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will manage all sales activities helping customers find the right vehicle while providing exceptional service. You will generate and manage sales leads and contribute to the continued success of our dealership.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and perform needs analysis to identify preferred vehicle make, type, and features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and during test drives.
  • Research vehicle availability and optional equipment using our computer database.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales price, finance or lease terms, trade-in allowances, taxes, and fees.
  • Inspect inventory by walking the lot to maintain vehicle knowledge and availability.
  • Complete all required paperwork and arrange for vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and provide orientation on their new purchase.
  • Participate in required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year related sales experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up skills to maintain client relationships before and after sales.
  • Current, valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.
